This serves as a reminder to all media accredited to the 10th BRICS Summit scheduled for 25-27 July 2018 in Sandton, Johannesburg, that live accreditation will commence on 17 July 2018.

Media are encouraged to collect their accreditation cards before 24 July 2017.

BRICS 2018 Games Tournament gets underway at WITS University

Sport and Recreation SA, will host the 3rd annual BRICS Games from the 17th to the 22 of July 2018 at Wits University Campus, Johannesburg.  The Games will see the 5 BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) compete in 2 key sporting codes namely Football U17 women, and Volleyball U21 men and women 6 aside teams.

National Youth Development Agency briefs media on the 4th BRICS youth summit

The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) will on Monday, 09 July 2018 brief media on the 4th BRICS Youth Summit taking place at Zebula Lodge Golf Estate in Bela Bela, Limpopo Province, South Africa from 15 to 18 July 2018.

 The summit will be convened under the theme “Radical Economic Transformation – Making the New Development Bank Work for the Youth”.

Applications for media accreditation for the 10th BRICS Summit, scheduled for 25 – 27 July 2018 in Sandton, Johannesburg, officially closed on Friday, 22 June 2018.

Media whose applications were successful will receive confirmation by email on Tuesday, 10 July 2018.

President Ramaphosa to host a Team SA Stakeholders Breakfast Meeting for a Round-table discussion

President Cyril Ramaphosa will tomorrow, Friday 06 July 2018, host a BRICS Stakeholders Round-table meeting with South African business people with a view to discussing the preparations and policy imperatives for the forthcoming BRICS Summit scheduled to take place from 25-27 July 2018 in Johannesburg.

BRICS ministers of Science, Technology and Innovation meet in Durban ahead of BRICS Summit 2018

Minister of Science and Technology Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane will host her counterparts, for the 6th Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Ministerial meeting from 2 - 3 July.

The BRICS STI Ministerial Meeting will be held under the theme: “Leveraging Science, Technology and Innovation through Inclusive Growth and Development”.
